About Me
In 1965 We ended up in Russell in the Bay of Islands on our Honeymoon, and I saw all these Striped Marlin being weighed in and decided that I had to catch one. Over the next couple of years I chartered boats in the Bay of Islands and in Tauranga without a result, and it was expensive, so we decided that we needed our own boat.

Over the next 10 years I built an 18ft. and a 34ft boat and managed to catch a few Marlin up and down the coast. In 1979 I sold my Motor Trimming Business in Tokoroa and went to live in Tauranga and went into selling boats. In 1981 I joined Taylors Shipbrokers in Auckland, and enjoyed working with a successful team, learning the trade.
In1985 I joined Beaumont Shipbrokers and became very involved in selling Formula 4000s.one of the most successful production launches being built at that time. Then in 1989 I joined Dick Jones in becoming the owners of Taylor Shipbrokers, that we ha until 1995.
